The formal aims of the Mettingham Orthodox Trust as stated in the Deed are as follows:
- to advance the Orthodox Christian Faith for the benefit of the public in accordance with the Nicene Creed.
- to advance the Orthodox Christian faith throughout East Anglia for the benefit of the public through the holding of prayer meetings and public worship, lectures, public celebration of religious festivals, producing and/or distributing literature on the Orthodox Christian faith to enlighten others about the Orthodox Christian faith and teaching the general public about the faith.
The Trust has already begun to meet these aims through diverse range of activity, this includes the publishing of educational and liturgical materials and the organisation of pilgrimages and events.
Following the official launch of the College of Our Lady of Mettingham in September 2012 we hope to arrange an annual programme of events, talks and workshops for the benefit and interest of Orthodox Christians and the wider public.
